Director of Software Engineering

About the role

You will set review standards for anything that posts to a register, run the contract hiring loop, and keep releases from corrupting a close. You still read the dangerous pull requests yourself. Remote contract, accountable to the founders for correctness and pace.

What you'll do

• Hire and review engineers who touch the books
• Define the bar for a change that affects balances, tax, or a closed period
• Own the incident path when numbers are wrong
• Push back on roadmap items that skip an audit trail

What we're looking for

• You have led engineers on a financial or other high-correctness product
• You can read a posting bug and explain the journal impact
• Direct communication
